Capsuleer Day XXIII (Warpath) - the live edition as of 2026 - runs 30 April to 2 June 2026, frames the anniversary as a faction-warfare / Pirate-Insurgencies-style conflict explicitly tied to the Havoc arc, introduces empire Quartermaster Trader currency, and rewards up to 665k SP plus officer modules and faction bastions.

Capsuleer Day XXIII - Warpath (2026)

30 April 2026 to 2 June 2026 - five weeks. The twenty-third edition of Capsuleer Day, branded Warpath, is the live anniversary in May 2026 and arguably the most structurally-different formal edition since XV introduced the template.

The lore framing leans hard into recent EVE history. A catastrophic hyperspace incident has damaged all seven stargates leading into Jita, and Warpath has disabled CONCORD's war protocols. The result is all-out conflict across the cluster - empire forces racing to seize advantage while regulatory enforcement is offline. The mechanical expression of this is a faction-warfare-styled site arc that draws heavily on the structures introduced by the Havoc expansion / Pirate Insurgencies launched in November 2023.

The combat content is structured as four-empire competitive complexes:

  • Defense Complexes in highsec (frigate-class).
  • Defense Grids in mixed security space (cruiser-class and below).
  • War Grids in lowsec (battleship-class and below - Tech II battleships, marauders, navy and faction battleships all in scope).
  • Intelligence Caches (highsec/nullsec/wormhole) and Strategic Infiltration (lowsec/wormhole) hacking sites.

Players accumulate Warpath Operational Intel points across five challenge tiers - Hireling, Soldier, Captain, Commander, Warpath Master - exchanging accumulated points at empire-aligned Quartermaster Traders stationed throughout empire space. The Quartermaster economy is the headline 2026 innovation: trader tokens buy all-new officer modules, faction bastion modules, new SKINs and SKINR components, and empire boosters - the first time a Capsuleer Day has folded officer-tier and bastion-tier rewards into the redeem pool. (CCP also introduced cosmetic-aligned empire bonuses for flying faction-aligned ships in home space - enhanced damage, armour and shield bonuses, and 10% warp-speed increases.)

The login ladder peaks at up to 665,000 Skill Points plus SKINs, SKINR components, and PLEX, with seasonal-challenge tokens layered on top. Like prior years the PvP loot-drop boost returns; the forum-feedback signal at launch (largely positive on event content, critical on the standings/economy interactions of the Quartermaster trader pricing) suggests the format will be revisited rather than re-shipped wholesale next year.

XXIII rates high alongside XV and XX because it makes several structural changes at once: (a) the longest event window of any edition (five weeks); (b) the first faction-warfare-styled combat content built into Capsuleer Day; (c) the Quartermaster Trader / token economy; (d) officer-tier and bastion-tier modules in the reward ladder; (e) explicit narrative continuity with the Havoc / Pirate Insurgencies arc rather than the Drifter / Sleeper / SoCT framings of prior years.
