AIR Career Programme - New Player Experience Rebuild
Launched in June 2022, the AIR Career Programme replaced the years-old career-agent tutorial chain with four structured career tracks - Explorer, Industrialist, Enforcer, Soldier of Fortune - surfaced through a new persistent in-client UI panel.
Each track has its own progression of mission dungeons (visually rebuilt from the legacy ones), a refreshed agent conversation window, on-screen guidance highlights, and tangible rewards (skill points, ISK, ships) for completion. The panel is persistent - players can return at any time, including veterans who skipped or never finished it.
The NPE rebuild rolled out in phases through 2022-2023, with the Havoc expansion (2023-11) extending it further with chapter content for new pirate factions.
If you have an alt or a friend you want to point at the game, the new-player onboarding is materially better than what you remember. Veterans can also use AIR to claim missed daily and weekly rewards from the Daily Activities panel.
