Skybreaker, Stormbringer, and Thunderchild EDENCOM hulls launched with the Arcing Vorton Projector - the first chain-targeting weapon in EVE.
EDENCOM Ship Line - Vorton Projector Hulls
Released in the June 2020 'Lightning Strikes' update, the EDENCOM ship line gave players a faction-aligned answer to the Triglavian arc. Three hulls launched together: the Skybreaker (frigate), Stormbringer (cruiser), and Thunderchild (battleship), all bonused to a brand-new weapon system, the Arcing Vorton Projector.
Vorton Projectors are EVE's first chain-targeting weapon: a single shot jumps between targets within a configurable range, dealing lower damage per hop, making EDENCOM hulls effective specifically against frigate swarms and Drifter / Triglavian content where the existing turret/missile lines under-performed.
The ships sit on EDENCOM standing rather than empire-faction LP, and the line never received a tech-2 expansion. They are niche but distinctive - the only chain-damage hulls in the game.
If you remember a PvP doctrine landscape with no chain-damage option, that gap was filled mid-2020. EDENCOM hulls are uncommon but not obsolete and remain the go-to anti-frigate-swarm subcap.
